Message from WYK Principal

Dear alumni and companions of both Wah Yans,

Time passes in a blink and it has almost been three years since the last International Reunion (IR) of both Wah Yans.  The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on human relationships, and in the wake of the pandemic, it appears to be particularly important to reconnect with each other, and rekindle our Wahyanesque brotherhood across generations around the world.

As a blessing in disguise, the pandemic offers us an opportune moment to see clearer in the dark, and “see all things new in Christ”.  With the restrictions on social gathering, we had so much more appreciation on connections and be grateful not to take things for granted, since spending time with each other was not as effortless as it used to be.

In this regard, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all alumni and friends who have been working hard to organising this IR 2022 and keeping our global alumni connected.  In the two-day programmes that run from US to China, and Canada to Singapore online, and in-person on the very campuses of both Wah Yans, we are traversing spatial and temporal differences, opening a new chapter of our companionship.

As the world is charting a new course in the wake of the pandemic, we are all navigating through uncertainties.  Yet, with the solid foundation of Wah Yan, our close-knitted relationships, and the robust network established internationally shall conquer, and bring us back together as one.

We look forward to seeing your happy faces – either virtually or in person in IR 2022!
